Hey Gianfranco,

A very interesting find you had on your monthly expenses. Even when I am working full-time I've had to recalculate and make adjustments to my own life in order to compensate for the cost of my contractors. I'm glad to see that you are keeping track of your expenses so closely.

Thanks, Luis! Good luck to you, too! Depending on your living expenses and lifestyle, freelancing can definitely pay the bills, and some people are making very good livings from it, so don't discount it as an option. As for moving within a city, I was able to find an apartment for a couple hundred dollars less than a previous apartment, and then I did it again when rent increased. You can definitely make it easier to spend less. B-)

Interesting thoughts, realy, because in fact I'm entering a similar transition: thinking seriously to quit my day-job and A) start a game (and mobile apps) company with a friend, or B) looking for been hired by a game company (freelancing cant pay real bills). In both scenaries I think it will reduce my income by the half :( 'cause A) an starups ROI wont come in at least 4 months and B) I didn't have professional xp on game industry, so I'm sure nobody will payme what I make now as a testing manager.
So, I been doing maths recently (besides the GBCU ;) ) and cant avoid to feel nervious about spending less than what now...
In both cases (A and B) I cant left the city, but maybe I should change appartment to reduce living-costs.

Good Luck!
