Indie games work on much more of a &quot;long tail&quot; model, where the quality and gameplay mean a whole lot. Certainly they&#039;re not going to generate cash as quickly as a franchise or media tie-in,  but they have the chance to become their own franchise, which is more valuable in the long run.</description>
