You should still try to get a indie expo or indie classic pass. There is actually 1 more day to register for cheap(er). Would WMS be willing to pay for anything? I know its not exactly the same industry but I think you could argue that it is strongly related and going to GDC would be a big benefit for you. Eh, GDC is overrated anyway :) .
