Tom, obviously there are people who don't listen to music very much. In fact, for a long time, I was the odd one in my class who didn't watch MTV. The point is that long ago it was not that uncommon to ask if people were music listeners because it was not as common to listen to music in your own home. For years we've had radio, tape players, CDs, and MP3s/OGGs among other things, so during this time being someone who doesn't listen to music is more of an oddity.

The point is, today and for years we've had to ask explicitly if people are gamers since most people aren't. Lanning basically predicts that this question will be silly to ask in the future because the person who doesn't play games will be the rarity.

Is it really that silly to ask if someone listens to music? I know at least one person who does not. There has to be more people like him.

Actually, someone did ask what his plans were, and if I remember correctly, he didn't give away any info. I imagine that it will be less game and more story/film-like, but I can't see to recall exactly what was said.
